Night & Light

Light Painting is so much fun! My favorite was the light sketching assignment. The first two pictures are for my grade, the other two were for fun, because I did not do the light sketching, clearly since I am in the pictures. How I achieved these first photos was, I left the shutter open 15-30 seconds (some vary but mostly 30 sec). I lowered my aperture and then set the self timer to 30 seconds. I then ran with a flash light and traced around Brandon real fast. And drew on the ground or the walls with the flash light as well. The only edits I did in all my photos was a levels adjustment layer on each. The light painting photo required 3 of us with flash lights. I set my shutter speed and apeture to 10, then Sister Esplin painted the barn with her spot light, and Dan and myself painted the tracker with the flashlights. To get the two blurred lights photos I had my camera on a tripod and then I found blur motion. My shutter speed was 30 secs. The first motion was our group running around with the flash lights, the second was cars. The final photo I found lights, I opened my shutter for 5 secs and then moved my camera in circular motion.
