Water Drops Macro by Julie Peterson Over the weekend in Ashton, Idaho I practiced taking macro photos. This set is Water Drops Macro. I used one extension tube size 31MM. Caryn Esplin had a machine that timed the drops with the trigger in my camera. I was able to chose the time and speed I wanted the water to drop. The background is color paper that is reflecting into the water from the external flash. I also experimented and added food coloring to the water to get the read water drops. Still Life Macro by Julie Peterson Over the weekend in Ashton, Idaho I practiced taking macro photos. This set is Still Life Macro. I used one extension tube size 31MM. I had Caryn Esplin’s Mom’s jewelry that she allowed me to use. I arrange them and set up my composition for each shot. I used my continuous light with a purple filter to get the glint of purple in each image. I brought the images into bridge for a little color enhancing. Flora Macro By Julie Peterson Over the weekend in Ashton, Idaho I practiced taking macro photos. This set is Flora Macro. I used all three of my extension tube. Caryn Esplin had a beautiful vase full of flowers and a mist bottle. I sprayed the flowers with water. I had an external flash with a trigger on my camera. Ink Drop Macro by Julie Peterson Over the weekend in Ashton, Idaho I practiced taking macro photos. This set is Ink Drops. I used one extension tube size 31MM. I had a glass full of water I then focused on a spoon. I had my focus in manual mode, I wanted complete control of my focus. I zoomed in a little to improve the feel of Macro. I shot these photos in Macro Mode. I then adjusted the Original image using and Adjustment Layer Levels. Then I placed the Texture image on top of the Original and lower the opacity. After I lowered the opacity I applied a mask on the Texture image and removed the texture from the bottle and the hat and then lower the opacity even more on other areas of the background.
